Sunset Ford St. Louis is part of a family-owned business that has been around for over 100 years. In 1912, back when a gallon of gas sold for only 12¢, founder Peter S. Heutel opened Sunset Auto Repair and Supply Co, serving the St Louis, MO area and the neighboring communities with all of their auto repair needs. From the beginning, Sunset Auto was known for its exceptional service and dedication to its customers and community, and has been done work for influential businesses like Sunset Hills Country Club and Anheuser Bush.After being awarded the Ford Motor Company franchise and becoming an authorized Ford dealer, the company name was officially changed to Sunset Auto Company, Inc, and has since, been dedicated to serving its customers with all of their auto needs. In 1996, the company expanded to better serve our Fenton, Mehlville, Kirkwood & surrounding southern Illinois area customers by opening Sunset Ford St. Louis. Today, the 4th & 5th generation Heutel Family is proud to carry on the family tradition. We take great pride in customer service and always strive to exceed expectations. In fact, we have consistently won Ford Motor Company's highest honor, the President's Award, for excellence in customer service.
